Pay Your Fines

sixbucks:

The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) will donate any fines collected for overdue books from Monday, January 25 through Sunday, February 7 to assist victims of the earthquake in Haiti through the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.   To participate, patrons should pay for fines at any CALS circulation desk or online.  Anyone, regardless of whether they have overdue books, may donate to the program.  Contributions should be made payable to the CALS Earthquake Fund.  “The situation in Haiti is dreadful.  CALS has a history of helping when disasters of this magnitude occur.  We chose the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund because one hundred percent of donations made through this fund will go directly to relief efforts,” said Dr. Bobby Roberts, CALS Director.

Any CALS branch in Pulaski or Perry County can accept fines incurred from overdue books or donations to the CALS Earthquake Fund.  CALS branches are located in Little Rock at:  Main Library, 100 Rock St.; Aerospace Library, 3301 E. Roosevelt Rd.; Dee Brown Library, 6325 Baseline Rd.; Fletcher Library, 823 N. Buchanan St.; McMath Library, 2100 John Barrow Rd.; Terry Library, 2015 Napa Valley Dr.; Thompson Library, 38 Rahling Circle and Williams Library 1800 Chester St.  Also, Maumelle Library, 10 Lakepoint Dr.; Nixon Library (Jacksonville), 703 W.
