LIBRARIANSHIP HAS SAILED.
The library is still a place of books, but the D.C. library’s gone high tech to the point that at this branch, a third or more of the space no longer involves paper. It includes 25,000 CDs, DVDs, and books on disks. It also has something called a “playaway,” an mp3 player you check out that contains an entire book.
